The more members Englewood Unleashed has, the stronger our voice is when we work with Englewood City Council and Parks & Recreation to make Englewood a dog-friendly community. The creation of the fully fenced Canine Corral in 2006 is a direct result of nearly two years of work between Englewood Unleashed and the City of Englewood. With a rational, unified voice, Englewood Unleashed has gained the respect of Englewood officials. The presence of an Englewood Unleashed board member at every City Council meeting sends a message that we are serious about creating a dog-friendly community in a rational and participatory manner. Moving forward, Englewood Unleashed seeks to halt the possibility of closing the existing off-leash areas at Jason Park, Duncan Park, Centennial Park and the Northwest Greenbelt. And, of course, Englewood Unleashed will continue to its activities such as providing amenities such as picnic tables and benches, straw ground cover in winter at the Canine Corral, park clean-ups, and communication of canine-related issues affecting the canine-concerned community. Say I want to live in a dog-friendly Englewood with your membership. There's a level that's right for you. Simply download and fill out the membership form and return it with your check!
