The Chili Cook-off is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. Funds raised go to improving the Canine Corral and other off-leash areas in Englewood.
If you've sat on a bench or at a picnic table at the Canine Corral, you have benefited from the fundraising efforts of Englewood Unleashed.
If you've pulled a plastic bag from a poop station at Jason Park or the Canine Corral, you've used items funded by Englewood Unleashed.
If your dogs have basked in the shade of or chased a canine friend around a small tree at The Canine Corral, they've enjoyed the efforts of Englewood Unleashed.
And who is Englewood Unleashed? We are the non-profit that formed when the City of Englewood suddenly closed Bates-Logan Park to off-leash privileges in 2003. We are dog owners like you who worked with the City of Englewood to get the land designated for the Canine Corral and keep Jason Park and other parks open to off-leash dogs. And we are solely responsible for the clean-up of the Canine Corral and removing traces of dogs at other off-leash areas in Englewood. The City of Englewood does not clean or improve the parks for dogs and dog owners beyond emptying trash cans. It is a volunteer effort led and monitored by Englewood Unleashed.
