ENGLEWOOD DAYS DOG SHOW: SEPTEMBER 8, 2007

Our first annual dog show at Englewood Days attracted more contestants than we anticipated! Thanks to all who participated--and to On Target Computer Arena owner, Linda, for emceeing the show with her ventriloquist dummy Danny. Got a great photo of the dog show? The 2007 Winners

  • Cutest Dog: Carlie the Chihuahua charmed us with her small size and shyness--and her lovely pink floral leash!
  • Best Trick: Shayla the Heeler did many tricks cued only by American Sign Language.
  • Best Comic: Jack the English Bulldog with his silly, squatty stature and sunflower headband cracked everyone up!
  • Best Costume: Luna the Italian Greyhound wore a ladylike ensemble complete with pink bloomers and a hat that would have made Jackie-O proud.
  • Most Unique Dog: Missy the Pekingese Pomeranian at 7 years old looked like a puffball with the markings of a Siberian Husky pup. This was a close race between Missy and Annabelle the CockaBea, a black and white Cocker Beagle mix with a happy half-of-a-tail!
  • Looks Most Like Owner: Bob & Dolly the Pit Bull made an impression with their red, white and blue bandannas and biker look. This was a close race with Anoko & her terrier Slick who shared a similar hair-do and hair color!
  • Acts Most Like Owner: Kim & Devon the St. Bernard impressed all with their imposing stature.
  • Audience Favorite: Sara the big Newfoundland and her owner Greg warmed hearts with Sara's work as a therapy dog at Craig Hospital.
